Nigel and Jenny are both level 3 personal trainers with experience in helping people lose weight, gain muscle and fuel optimally for sports. Both have a diploma in Nutrition and Weight Management. Jenny also has a Vegan Nutritionist diploma and has completed CPD courses on Nutrition for Sports and Exercise and Coaching Behaviour Change.

Exercise is only part of a healthy lifestyle. Focussing on nutrition can optimise the results you achieve!

We offer a variety of options to suit your requirements including baseline fitness assessment (weight, blood pressure, circumference and skin fold measurements), dietary analysis, nutrition coaching, goal setting, and personalised calorie and macronutrient recommendations. Gill’s amazing 25kg weightloss

“I had blobbed out over the last five years and did not want to reach the age of 50 and be fat. I had my goal!

Jenny helped me get back to my previous weight in six months. We set an achievable calorie limit per day considering my exercise levels. This, coupled with a pragamatic approach to the occasional ‘off-day’, meant that the plan was sustainable. The first few weeks were tough but as the weight leaves it’s easier to keep motivation.

Joanna’s 6kg weight loss and strength gains

“I lost over a stone on Jenny’s 12 week nutrition programme in 2019. I have since focussed my training on strength and conditioning. I had a one-off nutritional assessment with Jenny four weeks ago. My goal was to have more energy throughout the day, fuelling properly before workouts and refuelling afterwards. Jenny reviewed my daily calorie and macronutrient intake as well as my daily activities. She made recommendations on how many calories and macronutrients I should be consuming each day, balancing my macros throughout the day and the timing of eating before and after exercise. Jenny provided a very comprehensive report at the end of the assessment which was easy to understand and very useful. I put her recommendations into practice straight away and instantly noticed a change in my energy levels throughout the day and during workouts. A couple of weeks later I lifted my heaviest weight in the trap bar deadlift and push press. I’d highly recommend a nutrition assessment with Jenny.”

“You know when you’re unhappy with your health and wellbeing, but life is busy and somehow your own health gets pushed to the side: it is also hard to know where to begin to make changes. Having Jenny beside me when I first acknowledged that things needed to change, gave me the spark that I needed to start on my journey to getting stronger. This meant thinking about my daily activity, the food I ate and what it was that was stopping me change things.
Jenny really cares and wants to help. She sat with me and listened; she didn’t direct but listened and together we made a plan, something that would fit into my lifestyle so I would stick with it and enjoy it.
I was really scared at my first exercise session with Jenny; I was self-conscious and didn’t think I could do any of the movements, and as for lifting weight…..forget that! What I loved was that Jenny explained all the exercises, saying what muscles we were working on and why it was important, and what I used those muscles for in everyday life, such as carrying shopping, getting out of the bath, reaching for the top shelf. We were just about to buy a narrowboat and I wanted to be strong enough to enjoy working the locks and pushing the boat off and walking along the towpath.
I am, when it comes to exercise, quite, no… very lazy and lack long term motivation. I will, if I can, offer up a million excuses as to why I can’t possibly do any exercise today. Jenny didn’t really take no for an answer. She is kind, encouraging and makes things fun. She gently cajoled and slowly they became part of what I do on a Friday. I don’t see myself as the ‘sort of person’ who goes to a weight-lifting gym, but with Jenny’s support I have been and surprised myself. Everyone I have met has been friendly and welcoming and I’m not sure if there is a ‘sort of person’. Jenny and Nigel’s gym is for everyone who would like to get stronger, lose weight and boost their mental health.”
